The Canadian On-Farm Food Safety Working Group and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency collectively organized the “Road Ahead” conference held in Ottawa on June 26th, 2007. The platform for this international conference served as a forum for discussion, networking and learning of the value chain involved in food safety. Panel discussion provided participant’s the opportunity for dialogue based on Canadian achievements in program development, emerging challenges, international approaches and the exploration of new initiatives in partnerships along the supply chain. This is an exciting time for Canada as we bring together all aspects of the food value chain and continue to be a world leader in food safety systems.
